From the beginning of this blog, I had made countless comments on how the posts that you would read about would be on women-owned businesses in and around Atlanta. Safe to say, I've stuck with that. Every place I've written about has been a place of business that my readers can actually go to and enjoy. This post is a little bit different, but you'll fall in love with this business owner all the same.
Her name is Ashli Keller, and she's got some mad skills with creating fun and unique items. What's different about Ashli's business, though, is that she doesn't have a physical storefront that you can visit. She and her business, Big Yellow Dog Designs, are based here in Atlanta, but you can only find her online or (happy dance for me) some of Atlanta's swanky and crafty art festivals and fairs.

Keller started BYDD (Big Yellow Dog Designs) back in 2011 after she was gifted a button maker. With a degree in graphic design, creating fun and quirky items to sell came naturally to Keller. Another fact about BYDD? The business is named after Keller's late Yellow Labrador, Fender.
Why am I showcasing Keller and her business on my blog?
1) The things she sells are great!!!! (Take a look below at some of my own collection from her)
2) She's an Atlanta native who has a business.
3) Even though she doesn't operate out of a physical location, she's proving that you can still be a woman-owned business and do what you love without having to be in a store. (Again, art festivals take the cake here)

So, what exactly does Keller make? Well, my personal favorite are her motel-style key tags. Every single one has a fun little quip on it. *PSA-Not all of them are rated PG, which makes them a great gift for friends.* She also makes buttons (an homage to her humble beginnings), magnets, notepads, and bulk item orders for parties, showers, and more.
Although it seems like I've deviated from the path of places you can visit, you technically can visit Ashli and BYDD! She has an online Etsy store, and, as mentioned twice now, you can catch her at craft fests like the Indie Craft Experience (a seasonal festival around ATL). You're goodies will be made locally and with love. Being an independent woman business owner seems pretty refreshing, don't you think?
If you're interested in visiting Big Yellow Dog Designs for yourself, the information for the store can be found below!
